Drew Barrymore Struck Up Friendship With Greenpeace Volunteer For Big Miracle
Drew Barrymore grew so close to the real-life凤鸣轩言情小说 environmental activist behind her Big Miracle character she was loaned pieces of the advocate's wardrobe to make the movie more authentic.
The film, which is based on a true story, follows a Greenpeace volunteer as she tries to rally international support to free a family of whales trapped under the Arctic Circle, and, in a bid to best prepare herself for the role, the Charlie's Angels star reached out to the real heroine who inspired the movie, Cindy Lowry - and the two struck up a lasting friendship.
She tells the New York Daily News, "We actually really clicked, and we found out that we were a lot alike: feisty and really passionate and wrapped up in 校园鬼故事our work. She and I would go hiking and talk about life. She gave me her jewellery and clothes, and I actually wear them in the movie. It was really cool and meaningful."
But besides working with Lowry behind the scenes, Barrymore 每夜一个鬼故事admits her favourite co-stars were the puppets used to portray the marine mammals.
She adds, "We would have liked to work with real ones, but you don't want to harm the whales. The puppets were amazing though, and I love that they were not all Cgi (Computer-Generated Imagery). That was really helpful... I feel like you'll sense that when you watch it. They are not painted in."
